Band O’Plenty – September 23, 2011 – 8pm

Band O'Plenty Concert

The brilliant, multi-hued colors of autumn are reflected in the broad color palette of the compositions featured in this season opener. This concert showcases a rich variety of music styles and colors – from Renaissance dance music to woodwind tone poem, from brass fanfare to somber remembrance to modern variations on the lively cakewalk dance.

Program includes Courtly Airs and Dances, Hennepin County Dawn, Metamorphosis on An Original Cakewalk, 7th Suite – A Century of Flight and Hymn for the Lost and Living, a remembrance of 9/11 by Julliard professor Eric Ewazen.
