On the Road Again – June 3, 2012 – 3 pm

The San Francisco Lesbian/Gay Freedom Band takes to the road again for an out- of-town pops concert in the style of traditional summer bandstand concerts in the park. Come kick off pride month with great music in the great outdoors. The San Francisco Lesbian/Gay Freedom Band plays its summer concert at the Lake Merritt Bandstand in Oakland, near Children’s Fairyland.



Artistic Director Jadine Louie conducts her farewell performance – a program of music that ranges in style from brass fanfare to mariachi, from speakeasy jazz to Irish folksong.
