Get into the spirit of the 60s and get the flavor of the Magic Bus Tour when the rainbow painted Magic Bus visits our Sunday, December 11 shows at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts!
The Magic Bus acts as a mobile time machine and blends sightseeing, film, and theater. The full tour traces contemporary San Francisco culture back to its 1960s roots. Large screens roll down over the bus windows, revealing documentary footage of the 60s. As the video plays inside the bus, oral histories and classic tunes give splashes of psychedelic color to each passing landmark as the bus travels through North Beach, Haight-Ashbury, Golden Gate Park, and Chinatown.
The tour includes sights such as the City Lights bookstore and the Conservatory of Flowers. It sheds light on the bands, beatniks, hippies, and the conflicts that gave the area its distinctive flavor. You can climb aboard the bus and get a feel for the Magic Bus journey. [Sign Up for the Tour]
