Seggelke Conducts Lord of the Rings Symphony Performed by San Francisco Lesbian/Gay Freedom Band

The first openly LGBT music organization in the world, the San Francisco Lesbian/Gay Freedom Band has challenged stereotypes about LGBT people for 35 years, and now it’s taking on stereotypes about bands. The Freedom Band performs a full symphony originally composed for wind ensemble ‐ the famous Symphony No. 1 Lord of the Rings by Johan de Meij on Friday, March 15 at 8 PM at Ebenezer/ Herchurch, 678 Portola Drive, San Francisco. The concert is repeated in Lafayette at 4 pm, Sunday, March 17 at Temple Isaiah, 945 Risa Road. Admission is free.
