San Francisco’s Official Columbus Day Celebration
Sunday, October 11, 2015 – 12:30 pm
Fisherman’s Wharf to North Beach.

Join San Francisco in celebrating Columbus Day at San Francisco’s annual Italian Heritage Parade! San Francisco Lesbian/Gay Freedom Band will be marching in the city’s oldest civic event and the nation’s oldest Italian-American parade. The parade winds its way from Fisherman’s Wharf to North Beach – starting at Beach Street and Jefferson, the parade proceeds west on Jefferson to Leavenworth Street to Columbus Avenue to Stockton Street to Vallejo Street, back to Columbus Avenue then to Filbert Street. The Italian Heritage Parade has been a San Francisco institution since it was established in 1868. Featuring handcrafted parade floats, appearances by “Christopher Columbus” and Queen Isabella and her Court, tantalizing food at North Beach restaurants and entertainment by traditional Italian musicians.
