Donate Goods to Community Thrift
Donate goods including household items, furniture, and clothing to the Community Thrift Store, a non-profit resale organization that recycles and distributes donated goods throughout the Bay Area. The Band benefits by receiving a percentage of each sale when you mention the SF Lesbian/Gay Freedom Band (account #41) when donating goods.
Community Thrift Store: 623 Valencia Street, between 17th & 18th Streets, open every day 10 am to 6:30 pm. Donations are accepted from 10 am to 5 pm. Please contact the Community Thrift Store at 415/861-4910 with any questions concerning acceptable donations.
Jon Sims Endowment Fund for the Performing Arts (JSEF)
The San Francisco Lesbian/Gay Freedom Band is affiliated with the Jon Sims Endowment Fund for the Performing Arts (JSEF). Its endowed funds have been given to this 501c3 organization for investment purposes. The JSEF exists to provide financial support for LGBT performing arts organizations. To carry on the dreams of founder Jon Sims, the JSEF attracts funds and bequests, invests the contributions, and distributes grants to qualified groups. If you are interested in making a lasting donation or bequest to benefit the San Francisco Lesbian/Gay Freedom Band, please contact the JSEF.
